PEACE UNTOLD

«Peace Untold» is a VR film about the struggle for peace. On 19 September 1946, two historic events took place in Switzerland that have shaped our understanding of peace to this day. Winston Churchill gave his world-famous speech in Zurich, proposing the creation of a kind of «United States of Europe» to secure peace in Europe - excluding Russia with his concept of the «Iron Curtain». At the same time, federalists from all over Europe met in Lucerne for the forgotten «Hertenstein Conference», which, contrary to Churchill, proclaimed a renewal of Europe «from below», including Russia. «Peace Untold» makes this urgent and untold history of peace accessible. Viewers are transported back in time in VR to see how a young woman's wartime experiences led her to grapple with a concept of peace that affects each and every one of us today.
